Washington customer Bob had a problem. A problem with his backyard that he simply could not manage with traditional landscape solutions. After exploring several options Bob decided to consult with a design specialist at SYNLawn Northwest in Oregon. At last he found what he was looking for.

His backyard space consisted of a Sport Court basketball area surrounded by natural grass with severe slopes and multi-tiered areas. Basketball used to be the preferred form of recreation for his children, however as they grew older the basketball court received little use and became a bigger problem to maintain.

With frequent rain and maintenance difficulty Bob was battling erosion issues. The lawn area was hard to mow and even harder to keep it looking nice. Shade on the backside of the house made it nearly impossible for to grow grass consistently. Then there was mud. Frequent rains produced nothing but mud causing a slipping concern for the family. There had to be a better solution.

There is a better solution. Bob worked with the design specialist to design the perfect backyard for his family. While the basketball court was nice, it was not being utilized by the family. Since the family shared a common interest in golf the natural solution was to convert the backyard into a golf practice area.

“Total solution,” are the words Bob used to describe the project. The installation consisted of a large artificial putting green using SYNGreen 110 with 5 strategically placed holes, a 2 foot fringe collar using SYNFringe Premium 210, and surrounded by SYNBermuda Premium in the lawn area. Beyond the artificial turf used for the installation, SYNLawn also put in 2 sand bunkers and low-voltage lighting to allow the family to maximize the use of their new backyard.

“I received incredible customer service and the product is top of the line,” Bob said, “I loved it right after is was installed. Now that we’ve used it for a few weeks, I love it more!”
